e-VAL MD: EMR for iPhone and iPod Touch


e-VAL MD is a comprehensive medical history and physical examination tool for iPhone and iPod Touch. You can create, access, manage, and export patient records through easy-to-use touch-screen modules and email summary reports.

You can also use voice recognition software like Dragon Dictation by Nuance Communications (a free software) for large data entry in e-VAL MD text fields. Simply record, copy and paste.

Notice: The first version of Dragon Dictation had some privacy issues ( uploads your contact list to the company servers ). Although Nuance said it collects and uses only the names of individuals and companies in your address book (not emails, phone numbers or other data) in order to improve the quality of the Service and will not use these names to contact anyone for any reason. But they also say in their privacy policy : “NUANCE WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY TO YOU OR ANY OTHER PARTY FOR FAILURE TO KEEP THE DATA CONFIDENTIAL OR TO OTHERWISE HANDLE OR TREAT THE DATA IN ANY MANNER”. After many complaints, Nuance added a privacy setting that will allow you to choose whether or not to upload your contact names.
